A fathers day poems from son: when I was young, I didn’t think twice about dad’s job. I played, ate, pooped and slept. Now, as a father myself, I understand what he went through. I have an appreciation for what he did now.
By Joshua Cintron
From one father to another, I understand
the difficulty, the pain, the hard
work required to be the dad we know
we should be, and the one life makes
us out to be. I now understand your tireless
pursuit to give all that you humanly could
even though it appeared as though
you didn’t do enough. I know these things
now because I’m a dad.
I want you to know I’m proud of you
for making me into the man and father
I am today. And as you’ve told me my
entire life, I only hope to
make the next generation better than the
one you and I will leave.
Happy Father’s Day!
