A poem from a dad about the moment his daughter greets him
© Joshua Cintron
Upon entering the door, you greet
me with celebrity fame yelling
Seeking only a kiss. Seeking only a hug.
You trap me in your presence. Oh,
how I melt holding you
as I did the day you were born.
You are my daughter, heir to a throne,
a princess once before, a queen forevermore,
in this court of love that is mine.

A Note from the Poet
She’s daddy’s little girl—a Princess who can do no wrong. As a father, coming home from a long day’s work and greeted by someone who truly loves you is a feeling unlike any other, to be remembered all the days of his life.
